Spur Gear Rack Size Chart
Use this simple spur gear rack size chart to compare common rack part numbers by diametral pitch, length, number of teeth, and pressure angle.
Important: When replacing a spur gear rack, the rack and pinion must have the same pitch and pressure angle. A 14.5° rack should run with a 14.5° pinion, and a 20° rack should run with a 20° pinion.

How to Use This Spur Gear Rack Chart
Start by matching the diametral pitch and pressure angle of your existing rack or mating pinion gear. Then compare the rack length and number of teeth to find the closest matching part number.
If you are replacing an old or worn rack, check for markings on the existing part and take clear photos of the rack and pinion. This can help confirm the pitch, pressure angle, and replacement option.
