How to Read an A Section V Belt Number
An A section belt designation generally refers to its nominal inside length in inches. For the products in this chart, the listed outside length is two inches longer than the A number.
For example, A40 has a listed outside length of 42 inches and is shown as 4L420. The 4L designation represents a nominal 1/2 inch top width and an outside length expressed in tenths of an inch.
Before ordering: Confirm the belt section, the measurement convention, and the outside length of your existing belt. A section and 4L belts may share nominal dimensions, but suitability for a particular drive should be confirmed against the equipment and belt specifications.
