3L Section V-Belt – Size Chart
How to Read a 3L V Belt Number
A 3L belt number tells you both the belt section and its outside length. The 3L identifies the belt section, while the numbers following 3L represent the outside length in tenths of an inch.
For example, 3L350 has an outside length of 35 inches. A 3L225 has an outside length of 22.5 inches, while a 3L500 has an outside length of 50 inches.
Before ordering: Confirm that your existing belt is a 3L section belt and verify its outside length. 3L belts have a nominal 3/8 inch top width and 7/32 inch height. Measuring the existing belt and checking the markings printed on its cover can help confirm the correct replacement size.

How Do I Measure a 3L V Belt?
If the part number is still readable, identifying the replacement is simple. A belt marked 3L350, for example, is a 3L section belt with a 35 inch outside length.
If the markings have worn off, first confirm the belt’s approximately 3/8 inch top width. Then measure around the outside circumference of the belt. That outside measurement can be converted directly into a 3L part number. A belt measuring approximately 42 inches around the outside would correspond to a 3L420.
