When you’re in need of a pulley that allows for little to no slippage, a grooved pulley, or sheave, is the way to go. The number of grooves in a pulley – also known as a sheave when it is grooved – corresponds to the number of V-belts it can support. The more V-belts, the more power the pulley is able to transfer.
